Accurate chlorination reaction


 The main raw materials for chlorinated paraffin are paraffin and chlorine gas. Paraffin should be selected with a higher carbon content to ensure the thermal and chemical stability of chlorinated paraffin. Chlorine gas should be dry industrial chlorine gas with high purity.


The chlorination reaction is a crucial step in the production of chlorinated paraffin, usually carried out in a stirred tank. The specific steps are as follows:

1. Heat and melt the paraffin, add catalyst, and stir evenly.

2. Introduce chlorine gas, control the reaction temperature and pressure, and carry out chlorination reaction. The chlorination reaction is an exothermic reaction, and the reaction heat should be promptly removed to maintain a stable reaction temperature.

After the chlorination reaction is completed, stop introducing chlorine gas and cool the reaction solution to room temperature.
